The Downtown Brampton BIA promotes the commercial area as a vibrant business and shopping district. Through the use of promotional activities such as special events, advertising, and beautification programs, they aim to keep the area foremost in the public’s mind as an attractive, pleasant place to shop, to be entertained, to work, and to live. The annual Party in the Lanes is one of their largest events, where roads and laneways in the downtown core feature music, dancing, food, and kids activities. Annually, B-Jazzed curates and hosts the George St. stage with salsa and bachata music, to a capacity crowd.
